I'd not presume to know how many were made, let alone how many still exist in their original state. I do know they are rare & I've only had a couple in my hands my entire life. www.watchprosite.com members show a few from time to time and the military forum as well. Treasure it as it is a rare beauty. M

Do you still have the Torneks? As for my question, I just wanted to confirm the article written by James Dowling about the watch which he said that maybe only 20 pcs are left in the world. Please check the link below. Thanks.

I think he is underestimating. I personally know of a handful and that doesn't include some that he was selling over the past few years. And I don't really know that many people.

As above that's my opinion as well but there are not many. Just say it is rare and there are not definitive numbers to go by. m

Thanks for the opinion. You may be right about it. Hard to find out how many were returned to the US military for proper disposal unless they kept a record tof it.

Whether it's 20 or 100 or whatever, it is still a great watch to have, quite rare and historically interesting and significant. You are not likely to walk down the street and see another guy wearing a TR. So enjoy it.

Never have been a huge fan of military watches but... the history on this sounds incredible.
