So I took my 105.003 to Swisstec for a full service and clean up. After an hour or so with Simon he had explained exactly what they could do, and we agreed amongst other things that the case was not to be touched. There is a small ding on one of the lugs which i've shown below... i decided against having this filled and repaired.

I'm now wondering if it may be worth doing??... is the general consensus to avoid any case repair/polishing and just leave as is. if the work will be easy to see once done, and lower the end value, i will obviously leave it as is. Any thoughts or opinions, have any of you guys had the spot weld repair done to cases you own? Cheers.

How is the rest of the case, and has it been polished before?

If the rest of the case is unpolished and pleasing, then I would leave it "as-is". If the case shows evidence of polishing, I may have it repaired, and have the case refinished.

It all depends on the look you want, and what you want to do with the watch in he long run.

More pics of the watch as a whole will help people form their opinions.

For that little ding, I probably wouldn't. For rust, yes, probably.

I bet that ding is barely noticeable when you're wearing the watch.

@watchknut Hi and thanks for the reply, i posted some pics here last week https://omegaforums.net/threads/eds-home-i-clearly-cant-be-trusted.36852/

I think it may have had a very light polish at some point, but to me it looks pretty clean and mostly untouched. I think you're right in leaving it. And like @oddboy says, it's tiny....it's just that I know it's there! ahhh

I'd be inclined to think that watch is unpolished or very nearly unpolished and the slim original facet is still evident.

I wouldn't be having any work done at all to that case.

Just wear it and ding it up yourself. Then you won't notice this one anymore.. ;)
