Just re-licensed my 41 year old AMC coupe today, charged the battery, and took it for a 50 k run at highway speed. Dam that felt good! 😀

1963 3.8 E-Type is my usual driver - owned for 20 years.
And down at the DIY store...😉

Cheers, Chris

It a hatchback! Congrats on a beautiful automobile.
I have an affection for these coupes over the convertible. Maybe that's unusual/crazy, but...

Not unusual or crazy at all. For me, and many others, the coupé is the better car. It's all slight diferences though.

I prefer the XK120 roadster to the E but, I had to sell mine🙁 and am unlikely to ever have the cash for one again.

Cheers, Chris

Early cars its the coupe and my favorite. Series iii’s something about the factory hardtop option.... drool.... traditionally series 1 coupes are by far the most valuable e types and the best looking to most.

Come to think if it my favorite SEL was a factory hardtop. The lines looked better then the gull wing.

A friend has a black series 3 V12 roadster with black factory hardtop. Absolutely gorgeous and a little evil looking to boot!

for many years I was a Volvo fan and my last one was a 1999 S70 - I used the pics below in the FS ad (which sold in < 24 hours) - owned since new and passed to its new owner with >125K miles almost seventeen years later...my Volvos were not the fastest on the road but they were very reliable indeed. Now driving -and enjoying a lot the extra HP of a BMW 440i ..

😀

Here we have a draft horse in a stable of thoroughbreds, but it is what I drove today. It is a 2014 Chev Silverado W/T (abbreviation for Work Truck), 5.3 litre V-8, 6-speed, 4x4, extended cab. This is mostly a summer truck that we use for travel and for camping. I haven’t shown it before because this is the first time in months when it has been washed. This is a “stripped” model, but it doesn’t lack much. No On-Star, no power mirrors, no automation features, no power seats, no heated steering wheel, seats, or mirrors, no GPS, but it has most of everything else I need.

As I was out and about today, I happened upon a very dejected looking MG-B owner parked on the edge of a major thoroughfare, with his top down, and his hood up, and standing about 40 feet away, leaning against a frost fence, waiting for a tow or a boost. I felt very sorry for him, but I was headed in the opposite direction, so not much could be done.

Currently these two. I've been between Porsche's for almost four years. Since the roads in Florida are straight & flat and I don't do track events anymore, the Jag seems like a better fit for now.

About time some more American muscle showed up! 👍

I like it.

Thanks! Swiss watches and American race cars! (Although the family SUV is a Volvo!)

Shame about the XK120. I always regret selling my cars, but that would be particularly tough. You have my sympathy.

Spectacular Jag. You're a lucky boy.
Thanks. It lives on Long Island. Has been remarkably reliable. Regularly driven, not for show. Restore a few things when needed. When you open it up it goes like the clappers. The XK engine just keeps on pulling. Get a lot of smiles wherever I go.
