A 7 year old Mazda 3. Best car I've ever owned. Probably the reason I still have it

Excellent car. about... 6 yrs ago, I roadtripped with my buddy across the US in his Mazda 3. Drove through snowstorms, canyons, deserts... It drives for at least 30 miles after the estimated range is 0. 😉

Would that be considered a mechanical watch in a quartz car ?

2006 Subaru Forester, currently covered with a fine dusting of ash that used to be a forest. There's poetry in there somewhere but it's hard to appreciate at the moment. Anyway I love having an indestructible and fully depreciated car, it's a nice sense of freedom. And the craziness of my watch being worth more than 2000 lbs of metal is just delightful!

Washed off the ash yesterday and then rain came today!

So I've spent the day banging around in Cumbria, had the best fun, can highly recommend the Wrynose and Hardknott passes , the mother in law enjoyed herself even if my clutches and brakes didn't

Oh, and I was wearing a watch. 👍

My son and I had my 1978 AMC Concord fastback out to a local s & s last night. He is acquainted with a group of young women who like to dress in 40s vintage clothing and shoes, with (often) fishnet stockings, 40s vintage hairstyles (often with a glamorizer of some sort), 40s style make up, etc. They get their giggles by cruising the car show with professional photographers, posing with cars. Graeme knows “Debbie” (see picture), and he asked her to pose with my car. Car and model of about same vintage. She has two teen aged kids.

Nothing cool right now, my last cool one was a 1974 BMW Tii, different VW Bugs, Ghias always looking for a notchback. As of now a 2001 Subaru Outback and a uber practical 2016 nissan note.

Wait, there is a car?

Well, it is (after all) an American Motors car. But it is a car, after all. 😀
