Many thanks for your kind words. ::love::

105 and 116 series cars are both amazing, each in its own right.

Do not hesitate for the slightest moment and pull the trigger as soon as you find the right one.;)

Couldn't agree more, although mine is slightly more powerful than a standard GTV6: 170hp at the crank vs 160hp for the standard GTV6. ;)

Current weight of the car after the latest changes is estimated at around 1080kg vs ca 1185kg for a standard GTV6.

By the way, this particular car is rather familiar to me and apart from the SA bonnet sports a 3.0 conversion as well.

My daily driver 2007 Ford Police Interceptor [P71] which I purchased new from Ford in 2007. I’ve mildly modified it with Ford Racing components. I dig cop cars as a result of serving as a full time Cincinnati Police Officer driving Ford Police Interceptors on urban patrol.

Didn't realise you and Darren had the identical cars, they have such a nice arse and hind parts on them.

Well that sounds perfect! Back at the time we saw a couple of SA V6 GTVs in London and I drove one of them, greatly enjoying its response characteristics, being on carbs. Standard cars seemed to attract especially urbane type owners and (partly) thus tended to run virtually troublefree except for those driven by the more impatient, who just didn't understand the simple words, 'pause a tiny moment shifting into second!'
Alfetta GTV - hard to believe it's so many years since the model was discontinued, but good to see that they still have great track presence, (at Lydden this May):

I bought my last two Corvettes from MacMulkin as well.

Currently the "fun" car is a BMW M2. It's not as fast as a Corvette and cost more, but I gotta say, I think it's more fun to drive and certainly is easier to get in and out of. DSC_1093_1250px.jpg

Back in 2015 I was looking for a small, turbo sedan, and it HAD to have manual six-speed transitional and be RED. That essentially meant the Subaru WRX, VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST. Drove all three, looked at all the specs, read all the applicable forums, compared prices, etc, and eventually landed on the Focus ST. Had everything I wanted, good performance, looked good, great leather Recaro seats. In four years it has only had oil changes and tires, never been back to the dealer for any service work. Alas, Ford's decision to drop their car line (except Mustang) and only make trucks and SUVs means they dropped this line in the US. Americans just don't like to drive small cars and they only sold 10,000 ST's a year, too small to make any difference to Ford's bottom line. If I don't have the ST out for spin in the hills around my area I'm out on the Yamaha FZ-10 hyper naked bike, either one will put a smile on my face.

Drove the -71 350 Benz 400 kilometers, one way, today. To take my 85 year old mother in law to a small event. I did not have my glasses on when taking the pic - shadows obstructing her. But I guess (and hope) the car might be of more interest...

styggpyggeno1 ... an elegant choice for a good son-in-law who also does watch photos most elegantly.

Mad Dog ... it is presumed they are not your mothers-in-law.

You must have purchased that from Tulley if your last 2 corvettes were from macmulkin.

No, I bought the BMW locally (NC). I had the first one shipped, flew up and drive home the second one.

The market here is not competitive. My previous BMW came from FL because the dealers around here are so greedy.

It's annoying. Sorry to go so OT.
