As you may have read in my other thread, I purchased a couple vintage watches a while ago as a potential gift for a family member. But, the gifting went in a different direction and these watches have been with me ever since. Up for sale today is the second of these vintage watches, a Caravelle diver with an awesome dial and handset. If you're unfamiliar with Caravelle, the brand was introduced by Bulova in 1962 as a way to offer consumers a wider range of watches at a lower price point. I believe this one also has some nice details that vintage enthusiasts will appreciate.
- Beautiful matte black dial
- Orange indices with a matching orange seconds hand
- Stylized 12 and 6 with a double tritium plot at 12
- Vertical brushing on the face of the case
Details
Case: Chrome, sharp with a few scratches, 37.5mm w/o crown, 45mm lug to lug
Bezel: Original, very good condition
Dial: Original, matte black in very good condition with all tritium lume markers intact
Hands: Original, very good condition with tritium lume intact
Crystal: Excellent condition
Crown: Unsigned, replacement
Strap: Brand new orange rubber strap
Movement: Manual wind 7 jewel 11DP movement. It was serviced by my watchmaker and keeps great time.
Summary: A cool diver to take on those summer months without breaking the bank.
I’m asking $249 USD which will also include shipping within CONUS. Other countries at cost. Watch and I are in the US and I can ship worldwide (with some exceptions).
