I'm absolutely Blown Away by how good the summer Blue World timer looks in your photos compared to how it looked under OB lighting.

I know what you mean! Both standard and summer blue under the OB lights… ugly photo but goes some way to proving the point

I think the dark blue gives the best contrast between the different colors on the dial. The green looks too uniform and the black is kind of bland. The summer blue is not too bad but I think the dark has better combination of colors.

Summer blue on dark alligator looks best to my eye, but I agree that in person this watch is underwhelming: very busy, very small features. Honestly it kinda put me off world timers altogether as, seeing it in person, I decided for me I don't need all that.

That said, I sure appreciate seeing them on other people! 😀

Dark blue was my choice.

I almost got the Titanium WT, before settling on the PO GMT because I just really wanted my first 24H rotating bezel watch.

It was a difficult decision for myself, as well; however, I settled on the Summer Blue variant.

I have a preference for a more monochromatic dial. On the non Summer Blue variant, the locales are different colors, distinguishing those locales that observe Daylight Savings Time. Sure, it’s a nice feature, but when our government finally decides it’s no longer necessary, I will be ahead of the curb.

On the non Summer Blue variant, the land masses actually have green in areas - which is a nice touch for most people, but it becomes a minus for me because of my monochromatic preference.

In darker lighting, I will admit the daylight portion of the 24 hour ring becomes more difficult to read, but it’s a price I am willing to pay.

I am glad Omega has provided us with several variants from which to choose. Ultimately, it’s up to you and your preference.

PS - there is another recent thread all about world timers on this forum, lots of cool models in there.

What about this Nomos?

to be fair, the Nomos isn't a true world timer. It shows 2 timezones at a time. instead of 24 hours at a time.
