Can you think of a movie that would be a crime if you did not see it ?

Then there are the new classics, like my generation's Citizen Kane (100% serious, I'll fight you about it):

A couple other fun ones like

And a must-see for any "red-blooded" American male 馃榿

The Before Trilogy... relatively unknown and amazing.

Somehow forgot this one too, which I loved as a kid and even more after re-watching it as an adult. It's an almost perfect movie IMO

Then a seminal movie that kept me awake for at least a year,

alien-1980-poster1.jpg

And, improbably, its sequel - which through changing the tone and purpose, ended up being a completely different movie to the original, yet was equally entertaining in a different way.

Not very good movies after that one, though

They're all great movies, but Before Sunrise is just about the loveliest thing I've ever seen

"This steak still has marks where the jockey was hitting it"

"You know what your problem is?"

"No, what?"

"You've never had anyone give you the Aunt Jemina treatment".

Two of my favorites.

All the above plus: Casablanca, Apocalypse Now, The Deerhunter, Wizard of Oz, True Romance, Withnail and I, The Usual Suspects, Diva (French), The Ladykillers (1955 version), Monty Python Life of Brian, Brazil, Ferris Buellers Day off, The Breakfast Club, Alfie (original Michael Caine version), Star Wars

That's just off the top of my head... So many films including with great quotes and so little time...

OP - you are only old when you look in the mirror and realise you've turned into your father. And wonder why all the police look so young. And what's that stuff they are playing on the wireless,

Old old old ....

I am on the fringe

Other classics ( to me only )

Repo Man ( original version w Emilio )!

And

Tapeheads !

Another classic that most miss

Both are Mike Nesbeth work !
