Its a quartz I think its 80s its on a 1317/290 strap but you never know if that OG I rescued it from a cash generator no box so its a square 0 start.

I looked up the strap as I need links anyway and saw similar models and it says 1342 on the back the closest I've got is the 396.0888 but the corners look too round for it to be that so I'm hoping someone spots it and goes yea its a ..... its worth 50p or dude thats a ..... its a decent piece I don't mind either way so don't worry about hurting my feelings I got it cos I like it and would like to narrow down a number for it

1342 is the movement, late 1970s. If this is running it's worth throwing batteries at it until it expires -- modern batteries can be fitted but expect about 1year life. If it's not running there are very few independents who understand these, but if you really, really like it Omega Bienne might still be refurbing them -- my similar TV screen 1342 was done at their regular servicing cost in 2016. I suspect that the reference would be more like 196.xxxx but tracking down this era is not well documented.

Best of luck with it

It's a 396.0870.

3 = Mens Bracelet Watch
9 = Electronic
6 = Water Resistant Calendar

0870 = That particular style.

PS: This is a 196.0130. Different cases but they shared the same caseback.
