Can you help me identify this vintage Omega?

I bought this in a small watch store in Tokyo around 20 years ago. Remarkably its still working even today, despite no one having worn it since I bought it.
I've recently been trying to find out more about it - considering a sale or passing it down to my daughter, but am not sure if I should hold onto it or not. I bought it without a case or any paperwork (purely based on looks and the tortoiseshell strap). I haven't had it serviced or looked at, and I dont want to pry the back off for fear of damaging something - unless thats critical?. Can anyone offer any thoughts? TIA.

Probably legit, but the plated case is badly worn out and the dial has been repainted. No real value except perhaps for the parts in the movement.
