Can someone translate these SM case markings?

It's my father's automatic steel seamaster. I'm trying to determine the year; though I suspect 60's or 70's. The inside case markings are 2846 10 SC 2848. These don't seem to match to other case reference guides. Also, the movement says 500 and "adjusted 2 positions".

Model is a 2846 or 2848. They shared a case.

Movement is an Omega 500

There should be a serial number on the movement, and a quick google search should give you a basic idea of the date it was made.
