·Certainly I’ll draw ire from the purists here with this question, but I’ll risk it and ask anyway.
I LOVE blue dials, but equally HATE gold. I would love to have a steel Submariner and/or Daytona with a blue dial. Not to try to fool anyone, but just for me to enjoy.
Is it possible for a competent watchmaker to source a blue dial for either and replace the original dial on a new watch to satisfy my blasphemous urge?
Obviously I know that any watchmaker is capable of playing musical parts to franken’ any watch, but I guess my question has more to do with the ability to even GET a blue dial from the roller team.
Yes... I know I will kill the warranty and certainly devalue it/them a bit. But I want what I want.
What say the masses here?
