Can hands be re-lumed?

Hi,

Ive just acquired a Speedy reduced 3510.50 and its my pride and joy, it actually replaces one I had 23 years ago but had to sell when I fell on hard times and regretted ever since. Its in gorgeous condition but the only things that let it down slightly are the hesalite and the the hour and minute hands, can anyone point me towards NOS that I can purchase, or can the hands be re-lumed, its minor I know but it drives me mad knowing it.

Thanks in advance.

Can hands be re-lumed?

The question is "relative".
For me, it's quite easy to re-lume hands.
For the average owner it's not.

Your best option is to take your watch to a watchmaker. A proper one, not the guy in the mall fixing shoes and watches.

Has anyone else noticed unusual font size changes in their posts?

(see above).

Hi mcloughlin60 welcome to Omega Forum

As JimInOz said a watch maker can relume or swap you watch hands. The hesalite can be polished with acrylic polish compound like "Polywatch"
