I have had this watch for 18 years and am trying to find out a little about it, but cannot figure out the series of numbers on the inside cover and there don't seem to be any on the mechanism. Is there someone who can help me please. I've attached some pictures.
Essentially I'm after the serial number to date it and am curious as to the value.
Thanks in anticipation.

The serial number is on the movement...in your picture the rotor is blocking it. So we can't see it from your current pictures, do you have other pictures of the movement with the rotor in a different position?

I would expect it to be around 15 or 16 million with a cal 505

Ha! I read this thinking "base" was the OP.
Turns out to be a nut like the rest of us!

here are some more pictures. I still cant see an obvious serial number but there is a number, I can only assume that's it, but only appears to have 6 identifiable numbers. Anyone have better eyes or ideas?

No doubt that the watch is genuine Omega, but I cant explain the serial number unless its a later replacement part. Also cant explain why you have hallmarks inside he case back - can you please get a better photo of these? Maybe also both the minute hand and second hand have been replaced - as they look too long to me

Also, as you last set of photos show, there is a lot of dirt ( presumably coming from the bracelet) and lots of hairs in and around the movement. Please get this serviced, as this will do lots of damage

Cheers, paul

A serial number with 5 digits and a R is sometimes seen on replacement movements. Maybe that what R stands for (replacement?).
Here's mine
