Hi there, I recently found this awesome omega but I don't know much about it. I've attached an image below.

Could anyone help identify the reference number, and possibly the manufacturing year of this omega?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you😀!!

Welcome to Omega forum. It appears to be a 155.007 from the early 70’s. Looks to be in pretty original shape (still has its brushing on the case and bracelet) and hasn’t been polished to death.

Thank you all for the information!
Based on your replies, I decided to order the watch, and it will be my first vintage Omega. I’m really excited about it.

Thank you so much!

Make sure they offer an inspection period and verify the size of the bracelet. These are integrated into the watch and can’t be swapped out for a strap (part of the sleek design), so it needs to have enough links and movement in the clasp to accommodate the size of your wrist. They originally came with enough links to be sized up to a 8” wrist but depending on who owned it last, it will be sizes for them with about 1/2” of adjustment in the clasp. If you have small wrists then they only go down so far by removing links (usually about 6.5-6.75”) so if you need assisted sizing it when you get it, post here and we can try to help.

Nice watch!

I love my '007' it's a very interesting design and feels more like a massive metal band than a watch.
It's also the only watch I own that constantly gets comments from strangers.

As @JwRosenthal says, make sure the bracelet fits your wrist as it can be hard to source a new one.

@JwRosenthal , @Makesbelieve ,
After checking, The bracelet(include watch case) about 7.3 inches, so I believe it should be fine. I didn't know that the bracelet couldn't be swapped out. A saler mentioned that a specialized watch shop might be able to replace it, but wasn't certain. Thank you for your advice, it's very reassuring. I’ll upload a few photos when the watch arrives. I'm looking forward to it. Thank you.

I've been after one of these for years. They don't come up very often and when they do they aren't usually in as good a condition as the one in the opening post.
@chamomilet If you are new to vintage watch collecting, you either have a talent for it, or you've been rather lucky!

The bracelet is integrated into to case. They did make other models as shown in Ash’s article that did take straps, but this one was designed with the bracelet as a single unit. I love the integrated design- as long as they fit your wrist- which it sounds like you should be fine if your wrist is less than 7.3”.

If it is loose on your wrist when you get it, let us know and we can walk you through how to resize it.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been searching for one of these for years without success. However, online transactions, despite language barriers, offer a somewhat level playing field for everyone. I must admit, I do consider myself quite lucky. Finding this watch and then discovering and joining this Omega forum was too.

It's not so much that I recently started collecting vintage watches; rather, I've always had a fondness for square-faced watches and the charm of vintage Omegas. That's how I happened to come across this watch while searching for a square-faced Omega piece.
(Normally, I use a Casio AQ-230. lol. —it's square-faced, affordable, yet elegant, which is why I like it (I've uploaded an image)).

I live in Japan, Japanese currency is low now, the Japanese market might seem inexpensive from perspective. If there's anything you need from the Japanese market, I can will be to help for your dream.

I also hope that you find a watch that meets your satisfaction.😉

By the way, this is translated using an automated tool, but I hope it conveys my thoughts properly. I'm a little worried, but I sent it anyway.

That's a nice watch! I also have a thing for square watches, I'll have to get one of those.
