I’ve had this for years, worn it infrequently but the crown and stem has popped out (hence the tape) and I can’t see how to open the case.
It kinda looks like the old Heuer Monaco type where you press the centre section down whilst the sides are held but it doesn’t seem to want to do that.

Anyone got any info one way or another?

Model number, movement calibre (I suspect 565) and how to open firstly please?
Also as it’s pretty uncommon, what’s it worth?

Edit, looks like its a 166.042, cal 565

How to i open it though?

I'm hoping that profile photographs from slightly above and slightly below the centreline might show where to put a case knife in?

I would just like to make a correction to my first post here, as I had discovered the watch had the wrong BOR bracelet reference (or atleast the clasp/buckle may have been wrong), which I have now rectified 😀

The Omega Compressor 166.042 was fitted with bracelet/end piece combinations 1068/586 or 1116/598. Combination 1162/173 was also adapted to fit.

Mire info.
It looks like its a special case opener, however as it’s a split stem, every chance I can refit the stem without splitting the case.
