I was fortunate enough to receive this watch as a result of a death of a family member. Does anyone have any idea of a model # and a date for it and maybe an approximate value of it?

It's an Omega Deville Date Quartz from the late 60s/70s. I saw one on eBay recently for $1500CAD. I don't think its worth that much though. It's certainly not a desirable piece.

 

I think that eBay seller had one zero too many.

No it's not. That is from circa 1990, 1985 at the earliest at a guess. The case is the same used on the Yin/Yang models and some of the DeVilles of the period. The very first Omega quartz watches weren't released until the 1970s and they were the size of house-bricks, that is much later. Value not significant, a coupe of hundred tops.
