Oh dear gawd, not this topic again! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ™„

The answer is no.

If you are really nice - I will not to start a "can I wear my XXXX when YYYY"-thread. 😁::stirthepot::πŸ˜‰

I am shocked - I guess there are a lot of guys here wearing white socks to dress shoes also?

Of course we would....why would one wear anything else?

Ask a woman, any woman, "would you prefer I used white or black socks to these black shoes".

My thought is generally fairly simple: If the occasion is more formal, I'll wear a watch without an external bezel. My Carrera 2447N looks great under a suit, even though it's a chronograph.

However, for overall versatility and fun-to-wear-factor, nothing beats a vintage Speedmaster Pro on an original-vintage stretch-link bracelet.

Ill have to vote no. It can surely be done, but it will never be a proper dress watch for a formal event!

She had questions about the tie... and where all the ice cream had gone.

Is she the one wearing the matching red hat? πŸ˜’

last time I hung with my friend the prince, he was showing me his new breitling aerospace titan ...

"... trump this watch, al128" he said ...

I pulled up my cuff to show him my birthyear '1600 ...

Watching the Golden Globes and saw many sport watches paired with tuxedos
Since celebrities get dressed by stylists I guess the Moonwatch is a go!

He's shaking those hands pretty hard from the look of it... πŸ˜‰
not hard at all, but he does the whole "I stretch out my arm a real long way and lean in - so nobody moves into my comfort zone" thingy very well.

First time I shook hands with somebody who was basically a point on the horizon 😁 ... and that means a lot, b/c to be honest, I was quite surprised how tall he is (seemed to be just shy of 2mts πŸ˜•)

cheers, Al

If you're meeting the Queen at a formal event or christening a multi billion dollar skyscraper then no.
But for a wedding or business event for mere mortals I don't see any issues.

I doubt she'd care, especially since her grandson would probably be wearing a rolex sports watch

I wore my Speedmaster to the Royal Garden Party in 2014... Her Majesty didn't say anything.

Even not, "Omega, beautiful"? πŸ˜‰

If it feels good wearing it wear it. The person should define his or her style not the other way around.
