Can a 105-012 63 Omega Speedmaster have a 19,8xx,xxx serial number?

The 19,8xxxxx serial numbers are supposed to be 1962 and on Speedmaster101 it says that the 105-012 63 starts at 2052 0xxx. My question is, does a 198xxxxx fit the early Speedmasters 105-012 or is it a red flag?

Unlikely. So far, I have never seen an extract confirming a serial below 20xxxxxx in a 105.012. Only 2998 or 105.003, in theory could be 105.002 too.
(And that's after having seen 500+ Speedmaster extracts...)

Agree, I own 2 of them one "Swiss Made" and another with asymmetric "T"'s and both are very narrow in the serial# 20.520.XXX.
A friend of mine owns another one: Serial 20.521.XXX.

The serial 19.883.XXX would probably belong to a 105.002.

Cheers

Red Flag

Thing is, once you see one thing like this, you have to question everything.
