Hi everyone

I just had a great experience w a Chrono24 dealer in the Netherlands ....

I was on the hunt for a Citizen diver has a green bezel and black dial ... ti case and bracelet and automatic movement day date ....forget the case ref right now ....

Not easy to source found a few on Chrono24 .....

I decided to buy from a dealer in the Netherlands ...

to my surprise I got the package two days later in NYC .
not only did I get the watch in typical paper / cardboard citizen box he gift wrapped it ! And a second box with the yellow promaster scuba tank display box , plus a citizen shopping bag of the quality you get at an OB ( as if I was buying a 8k plus watch) and for good measure he also included a citizen signed pen and lanyard !!

will add more pics and dealer name as soon as I get to my office ....

What is the model of this one Bill? It reminds me of the new Seiko SPB103 / SBDC081:

*edit* Wait I missed that your watch has a black dial - I just thought it was the lighting at first.

Is the bracelet comfy?

Very nice bracelet.... marked "Base Titanium " flip lock ... .would fit a almost 9 inch wrist... I took out two links and there are three microadjustments... set it to the middle position....

Amazing for under 400 Euros.

Good Hunting

How large does it wear, @Bill Sohne? It's listed as a chunky 46 mm, but I've come to find out that advertised size can be deceiving on dive watches. I'm very comfortable wearing a Seiko Turtle on my 7"/18cm wrist.

Hi

I have a 8 inch wrist ....

Here is a wrist shot....it does not wear 46 or 47 mm large ....

here is a Longines Hour Angle at 47.5 on my wrist
It wears 47.5 !

And I have my Dad’s 6138-0030. He bought this in Tokyo back in 1972 I think ( he went to Japan twice for business ).... Seiko speedtimer

The citizen is a buy ... figure it feels like wearing a 43 mm watch or so ....

good hunting

Thanks! Your comparison with the Longines is particularly insightful. Its funny how optically your Seiko 5 and Citizen are quite similar in size, while there's 3mm difference in diameter. Congrats on this great find, and great to hear Chrono24 sellers can be so courteous!

Hi
It’s the first limited ed from 87/89 ... with the pocket watch manual wind movement .... one of 1000 in steel . There is not much info on these on line as it was in conjunction of the 60th annv of Lindbergh’s solo flight.

best
