I think on this we are in fairly close agreement.... I know that you saw my post regarding the crystal on the Seamaster heritage, have you seen the Ed white crystal in person? Many of the issues with the speedy crystal seem to be a result of omega's decision to use a "box" side crystal (on the 1863 and 3861). I can't, and won't, say that the domes Omega is capable of making are perfect, but they are so much better.

The way the crystal on my 1863 interacts with light leaves something to be desired, but man do I absolutely love my 75th anniversary seamaster crystal.

Loving the fact that there are so many different opinions and preferences expressed here. Good thing there are so many variations on what is essential the same watch so something for all.
