c1937-1940 Gruen Curvex "Crest" $30 CDN

Up for sale for $30 Canadian is this c1937-1940 (dated to the best of my knowledge) Gruen Curvex in 14k yellow gold fill. The watch runs and the Gruen Precision 330 Curvex movement looks nice. There is a healthy amount of tarnish in some areas, but it looks much nicer in hand than the closeup photos convey. A flaw worth noting is the small rough section of the gold fill at the 11:00 lug (as circled in red in photo below). I think this could be a nice wearer with a crystal polish and a service.

I can’t confirm, but I think it’s likely that this is the “Crest” model, as shown in the ads below.
