Decided to keep my submariner date and purchase gmt in the future if I’ll have a chance to afford it without the trade.

I thought about that as well, but it’s not that uncommon for the hands to age differently than the lume. I have handled numerous Glossy 750’s in the 8.6-8.7m range with slightly lighter hands.

Here is my unpolished 8.6m serial, with perfectly matching hands. one of my favorite watches.
It is such a beauty

Nothing is stopping you from finding this GMT in the future.

They aren’t that uncommon.
I find one in decent shape 64xxxxx ,early one ,MK2 dial,pexi, fade ghost bezel,3075 Cal, proper bracelet with proper clasp (service)
top watch in unpolished case state with life scars....
