This is Bulova's commemorative edition of its contribution to the space race via its prototype lunar pilot worn by astronaut David Scott on August 2, 1971. He was meant to be wearing his officially-issued Omega Speedmaster, but the crystal broke and he strapped on his Bulova chronograph ref. 88510/01. It sold in October 2015 for over $1.6 Million dollars.

This collector's edition maintains similarity to the original, but is updated with a modern quartz movement of unrivaled accuracy whose seconds-hand sweep is smoother than the best automatic movements.

The caseback is engraved with a commemoration of the Apollo 15 mission including the dates and length of the mission, the date of the EVA3 spacewalk and the coordinates of landing spot on the Hadley Rille Gorge.

$750 shipped to lower 48 in the U.S. For international shipping, contact me for estimate.
