Hi guys,
Can someone confirm that the replacement crystal of this watch is 714AWD?
Is there any hint where I could try to find a replacement?

thank you
Andrea

Calling @JwRosenthal ... if anyone would know, he would!

Very nice piece you have there! It looks like a little crazing on the crystal by the date, but the other minor scratches can be easily polished out with some Polywatch.

[Edit] Looking at the other picture, I'm not sure if it's crazing or just scratches...I'd give the crystal a polish and see how it turns out before replacing. You might be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Youtube has plenty of videos that will guide you through the process.

SNORKEL
Lol- yes, Snorkel indeed!
714AWD is the correct crystal. You can try wet sanding it to knock down some of the deep scratches. If the crazing is below a few microns it’s won’t come out.
Nobody has these- period, I have tried them all.
They pop up on eBay periodically so keep checking there every now and then.

Thank you all for the answers. I'll try to polish the glass but looking at the microscope it seems a defect inside the glass, not on the inner or outer surface.

If you can’t find a factory crystal, the 714 was 29.7mm with medium dome and date magnifier, you probably won’t find a generic with date, but you can at least get a nice clear crystal until you find the right one
