A little GTG at my place last week resulted in dozens of watches sprawled onto my dining room table (where, unfortunately, the lighting was not the best). In any case, this photo was taken of my bubbleback collection, and I thought I'd share it...Do click on it to view the larger image (thanks, Ed!).

Some very nice watches were shown, indeed! And "a dozen or so," I'd say that was an understatement.

The lighting may not have been good...but the watches sure were!!!馃グ Thanks Adam for hosting!馃憤

I always admire your bubblebacks, Adam. Nice to see all or most of your gang out for a stretch! You've a keen eye: I "get" your collection. Keep on keep'n on...

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the recommendation - I've heard nothing but rave reviews for this documentary and its on my must see list. CT passed away just a week or two before you started this thread. What a life to celebrate!

Everyone and I mean Everyone respected CT. He played for like 10 different President's! He was a Navy man and they say his version of Taps would break up the toughest and hardest men.

Thankfully he never messed around with junk that cut short and ruined so many careers of those famous 50's Jazz cats. Especially horn players. I think it's because Mr. Terry found fame a little later in life and saw what that garbage does to the strongest of men. He lived next door to Louis Armstrong in Corona, Queens, which is a solid working class neighborhood. These were "normal" guys who were ridiculously famous and humble.

RIP

Nice collection!

While I've mostly remained unmoved by the brand, one of the Bubblebacks would be my initial foray into the world of Rolex.

Wasn't there a commercial about those watches?

"I want my bubbleback, bubbleback, bubbleback....." or some jingle like that? 馃槣
