·If dial patina is not your thing, then kindly move along, as this watch is not for you.
For everyone else, I’m offering for sale my circa 1953 18k YG/SS Rolex RED Datejust 6305 bubbleback. Serial 926,XXX, with caseback dated III.53.
I had this watch last serviced in October 2021. As you can see in the photos, I did NOT have the case or bezel polished/refinished. I have worn the watch sparingly since that time.
(It’s important to note that my wife (aka Destroyer of Watches) has not taken to this watch; therefore, it has been gently worn during its time with me.)
The hour hand of the dauphine handset is missing some radium, but it’s unnoticeable to my eye.
Watch is radium, Geiger counter pic included. The Swiss only dial is stunning to me. The Red lettering and red date wheel are just icing on the cake.
The 18k yellow gold bezel is incredibly sharp (see macro photo).
Watch has “coronet + “ crown.
Engravings between lugs are perfectly clear and legible.
Watch comes with a Rolex USA oval link jubilee with big crown clasp. The clasp was polished to remove an engraving, and undated. It is very comfortable, and has 20 links. Stretch is minimal, in my opinion.
I am asking $5350 via wire transfer. I’ll cover priority FedEx insured shipping in USA. International shipping at cost less $50.
USA buyers way return the watch within 5 days if you don’t like it (return at your sole risk and expense). I will refund your money upon my receipt of the watch in the exact condition in which it was sent to you.
Due to Customs complexities, international sales are final.
