Breitling rider tabs

I know it was asked here several years age without a responce, but I thought I would ask again in case here is some new information on the subject.I used to be able purchase rider tabs from a local source who also sold Breitling watches. He recently informed me that they will no longer supply the rider tabs and that all Breitling requiring these must be sent to the factory. Breitling will almost certainly require a complete service in the course of replacing the tabs. While I don't agree with their policy, it is their brand and they can do as they wish.
I am trying to source aftermarket tabs and have only found a couple suppliers with very limited supply to certain models only. Does anyone here know of any suppliers who are making good quality aftermarket rider tabs? I know its doubtful but thought I would ask anyway.

Cheers

I had to look up 'rider tabs'. Damn if I don't learn something new every day. Have you tried eBay? I saw quite a few there.

Lol! I remember when I first heard that term, I was like WTH is a rider tab?

I have checked the Bay but they don't have the ones I'm looking for. I'm happy to post the model numbers if anyone thinks that will help.

Maybe reach out to a few watchmakers. Try Ultra-Vintage Watches, in Ohio.

I signed up with the Breitling USA website and asked them a question via their message system. They responded within a few hours. I suggest you at least give that a try. They were quite helpful for my situation.

Thanks duc, I just signed up and sent a message. I'll post their reply when I hear back.

Thanks X350, I have already contacted sansom and they don't have rider tabs for any of the models I need.

As I suspected this is the reply from Breitling.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your email. I'm afraid we don't sell parts so the watches would have to be sent in to have the rider tabs replaced. You can create a service request here .

Best Regards,

Subject: Rider tabs

Hello,

I have several Breitling watches that I don’t wear anymore due to missing rider tabs. Is there any way to order replacements without sending my watches in for service?

Best regards,
Chris

Are you against sending it into Breitling?

Only because they will automatically estimate for a full service as well, even though it doesn't need it.

I think before concluding that, you should respond to their reply and ask them if you might send in a watch just to have the rider tabs replaced.
