·Another thing I like about this reissue is the lugs, there are no bevel facets so its in line with the 64 Ed White's - the ref he wore on his EVA.

·Omega is spot on with this release in my opinion. So cool to see a well designed straight lug speedy as a new part of the product portfolio. I really need to see it in person before judging the sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel.

Step dial, radial sub dials, 39.7mm case!! true straight lugs, gorgeous flat link style bracelet, applied logo, the dial will likely be matte black/grey mix in the light. Super legible and everyday usable. Ceramic bezel and sapphire makes it a modern day glorious wear.
Big fan. The domed sapphire is a small compromise and I'm entirely happy with the wearability and optical quality of them recently. We don't need to re-open to hesalite vs sapphire debate. This is a modern day re-issue. I'm curious to know if the 321 in any way has been modified for the modern day...

·That means it is a +$15,000 watch in the US after taxes. With a couple of hundred a year in the US it will be a very hard get, about one watch per OB/AD. You better have a Rolex kind of relationship with your dealer. Not surprised at the price, should have gone solid back. but I can see why they went sapphire back. It would be a shame to hide the movement. A very niche market, but that is what Omega is shooting for now.
