For Europeans, the GM mark up is around 20-30% in most cases. For US, the markup is closer to 50%.

If you search by model number and filter by new & unworn there are 10. Anyway, there are many ways of searching chrono. Interestingly, none are in the US from my search.

a general search by model number shows 15 across the board.

I bought mine about a month ago and there were 4 in the US at the time, including mine. They've all since sold. A couple had been listed for months and then gone in a couple weeks.

Yep, irrespective of the numbers being pulled in by searches they are certainly beginning to go. One of the 14 in my search is now showing up as reserved also (the lowest priced U.K. one). Definitely being hoovered up.

When I searched several months back, for every 1 available outside the U.K. there appeared to be 2X that available inside the U.K. - Brexit related, or U.K, with a disproportionate delivery (or dislike)?

I think the U.K. did pretty well early on. However there seem to be only 2 for sale (on chrono) here now, with one of those sold/ reserved. The U.K. also has lower grey market prices on this compared to the us etc.

It must be a geographical difference. I see all those plus others inc this one’s from germany, Japan, uae etc. in any case, the number is small...
Ok, my bad - it's not geographical; I added "Calibre" to the search terms; now changed to the product # only (in quotation marks).
Now I (also) see 14 (or 13, if we exclude the one incorrect referenced watch), 9 of which are new / unworn.
👍

The average sold price on Chrono24 over the past month appears to have gone up about $2-3k, for those interested.

I haven’t paid close attention, but in theory this would flange up with the few reports I’ve heard that production/deliveries have been slowing for a while

Hello, friends. I wanted to report that I ended up going after one on the grey market from a reputable dealer.

Had it sized at the OB yesterday and am just thrilled by the craftsmanship and the way the watch feels on the wrist. It is a sentimental piece (gift from my fiancé) and is going to be my daily wear. I promised her that I won't be wearing it until our wedding day so this is the one good look I get at it until then.

I was really on the fence about pursuing the Ed White but have really grown to appreciate the 40mm range cases through the CK2998, FOIS, and Speedmaster Anniversary editions.

Well, my Rolex AD actually came through, so I've doubled up on grail watches for my 40th. The irony that the 321 cost me more than the Panda. My heart is with the Speedy, my hype is with Daytona. I think Omega tried to position the 321 as a competitor based on how they priced it (if Daytona's sold for retail, generally) but they are both really different approaches to the same category. And I love them both for different reasons.

Wow! Congratulations, Carac! What's next? Datograph? 1815?

I approached the 321 acquisition from a different perspective. I wasn't chasing an EW321, they just weren't on my radar, but starting in January I was looking at my Speedmaster box and found I had a handful that just weren't doing it for me anymore. I sold a couple in February, and then I saw an ad three weeks ago on OF for a BNIB EW321 in Europe, it had a net price of US$18.8k delivered. I didn't want to shell out that much money but I did have another two Speedmasters that I could liquidate to pay for it, an Apollo 11 50th and a LE CK2998 with blue subdials and ceramic bezel. I've enjoyed the Apollo 11 but it was not getting much wrist time, it was just sitting in its moonlander in my cabinet. And I had another Speedmaster with a blue theme, so the CK2998 could go. I got good money for these two watches, about 22% more than I paid for them, and that gave me enough for the Ed White. If I take the price I originally paid for the Apollo 11 and CK2998 as the basis I ended up paying right at $15,300, but if I had bought the watch from an OB I would have paid state sales tax so backing that out I paid $14,133 pretax, hey, the retail price in the US. So that's what I did. Just received the watch today with all stickers, paperwork and boxes, just like you would get from an OB. So I'm happy with the creative financing and I'll get a lot more use from this watch than the two I liquidated.

So far I'm pretty impressed with the watch in the few hours I've played with it, the dial has a real clarity to it. I'll size it in the next day or so and get it into the fleet. BTW, this watch was sold at an OB in eastern Europe in January 2021, SN 8870088x.
