Black strap arrived. Looks pretty good imo.

I was very happy with mine on the bracelet but seeing it on these straps I’m starting to think I’m doing this wrong.

Not in the slightest. I love to change it up a bit however as it keeps it fresh, and as I do a lot of desk diving (it’s my new daily) it protects the bracelet a little.

And, when I put the bracelet back on again, it’s like having a new watch!

That looks excellent. I have a cheap Cousins version of that arriving tomorrow which I may use on my Ur EW, so thanks for that.

You are welcome. Let us know your thoughts on the cousins strap. These omega ones are fantastic, but no one can deny they are fairly pricey.

Well the main downside of the Cousins catch stitch straps is the they are 18 and 20mm so straight away are sub optimal for 19mm lugs but I will keep you in the loop on if they work or not. I have a few coming. I owe you that having not realised I was lecturing you with your own strap a few posts back lol.

The Cousins catch stitch straps I mentioned above arrived. To cut to the chase they are in no way as nice as Omega originals . These are more like a £25 strap for £5 so they serve a purpose and are good value but I am not sure I would skimp if I were purchasing something for my 321/NEW, I'd probably stick to an Omega original like Steve shows above, those really do feel high quality.

I fitted black and a blue example to a couple of my Speedies as seen below. Apologies for using a FOIS here and not an EW of any flavour, but I didn't fancy messing about with my original Ed unless I really have to, and I can't see me using this strap on that. I might keep it on the FOIS for a while though as I have a feeling it will gain character with wear. The black and brown versions seem softer than the blue, which is a bit more shiny. Note they are available with or without a stitched pointy end detail. These have removable metal collars so without the collar the 20mm fits 19mm lugs just fine as the leather is soft, with the collar it is a good fit for 20mm but wont squeeze down further. Of course you should use 19mm bars for 19mm lugs even if fitting a 20mm strap to prevent difficulties with fitting and removal. The buckle is 18mm which is annoying as I only have 16mm Omega buckles to hand

Apologies if some find this irrelevant for a thread on the NEW, but maybe they will help some with a straight lug in need of a change:

I think they look good - especially the black which has that nice vintage look to it.

how thick are they? That’s usually my test for a strap (I prefer 2mm and less really).

I think the black looks really good on the FOIS

3mm but still quite supple. For the money they are great but put it next to the omega version and you go ‘oh’. The black and brown are great. I’m not certain the blue is a winner.

Yes well, sorry for adding on to the dogpile... 😗

Count me in!

My steel Dayto... :whipped: Speedmaster's in, woohoo ::psy::

I wrote elsewhere that I've been waiting over 15mth and @Robert-Jan suggested I was exaggerating but in retrospect, I've wanted this reference even before it was announced - since Omega unveiled their re-issue of the 321, back in Jan 2019. I was a bit nervous when the Platinum-meteorite SMP was presented but I figured Omega would have to eventually put one in good ol' steel (after all, "steel is real" 😎)

Here's a couple of rushed Smartphone pics but eventually, me & my Canon rig will give this reference the attention it deserves... ! 👍

Congratulations and fantastic pictures. Did you use some kind of an app/filter to edit those pictures? And what kind of lighting? So awesome!

Huge congrats - it’s a beauty and as you say so much better than you’d think. Wear in good health.

I’m off to practice my photo skills. If your photos are rushed, I’m not sure how to describe mine....😁
