There is a lot to like, i think. Highlights for me are the bracelet and the caseback. The bevelled hour markers, the "11" and the golden AML are very nice, too.

I am not so sure about the 9 o'clock subdial, however. Did it have to be a picture there, at all? And if yes, did it have to be this picture?

The bracelet is a winner on this- I'll be buying one for my ST2.

The subtle additions such as short pushers, flat foot crown logo also a plus.
The sub - dials look busy but not too distracting.

This watch would have been an overall thumbs up for me without the addition of gold. I would have looked past the price if it were all steel.

I understand it would be more difficult to introduce drop end chronograph hand and a DON bezel in a truly stainless steel version to avoid interference with the vintage & classic market, a problem they don't have by making these " Metal Magic " moonshine gold...
A few good choices, pushers, bracelet but overall to much cheesiness / kitsch at that price !

It's an absolute beaut! I'm gonna watch the supply at my AD with interest.

Still, it's a shame to see the end of one of the more entertaining threads here at OF, now that the 'expectations' have been met / missed (that and the recent 'How often should I wind my speedy' thread had me coming back for my daily dose for weeks).

Has anyone seen a pic of the buckle please? Is it made up like the gold version or like the 60th anniversary version?
Thanks!

Ugh flat sapphire crystal...no thanks. I like the bracelet but it was just recently done in 19mm with the Trilogy. Finally they do the DON...

Wow, I really like the combo with the cork strap. Looks great! Overall a beautiful watch, but I鈥檓 just not a big fan of gold accents on a stainless steel watch.

But I would think about getting that bracelet if Omega decides to sell them seperatliy.

Damn that鈥檚 nice.

But 拢7.3k!!!
Alan that is the good news. Omega are in effect giving UK buyers a 20% discount over the USA as our price includes sales tax, theirs doesn鈥檛!

So... what watch will end up with the reissued 321 caliber?
People seem to be saying that it will be the third and final 50th anniversary model in platinum. While there will be another anniversary watch in platinum, I don't know if any sources have actually verified that it would have the 321 movement.

I can not find the subscribe to the waiting list button on the omega homepage. Does it mean that all pieces are gone?

Thank you! 馃榾 But how does it work? First come first get? Is this comparable with the reservation of the ST models?

Yet you not noticed that large A is on other omega watches? I do like the 11 on the dial at 11am, subtle is cool.
Noticed that too, very subtle

Interesting the movement ref has not changed but is made of different material. Reading up that it鈥檚 taken 4 years to develop, I suspect this will be part of the standard speedy in a year or so. What will be interesting is if they make this for the sapphire model only or both.

Glad they wrote one small step for a man rather than one small step for man.

This could have easily become another first and ONLY watch worn on the moon situation.
