@Lucasssssss did youi mean the 8270 BOR? If so, I didn't realise this was the earliest one which is a welcome piece of information as I've got on one my 14745 with 70 end links - quick photo below. (The bottom link has seen better days; it looks as if someone once filed down one corner...)

Yeah, sorry, meant the 8270. 8260 is actually a really odd bracelet, a parallell BOR on #50 endlinks made for a short time around 1962 @JwRosenthal has one on a SMDV.

I see the 8270 mostly on earlier watches with 70 endlinks, which leads me to think they were the first iteration of the 7 row. For my records, do you think that bracelet is original to the watch? And do you know the serial of the watch is?

Thanks

The serial number of the watch is 17206296, so it's about 1959-1960. Sadly I know for a fact that the BOR isn't original to it, as I bought the watch on a nasty Fixoflex bracelet and got the BOR separately, both on ebay. It's just a lucky coincidence that the dates are right. I didn't make a note of the date I bought the watch but it will have been in late 2012 or 2013.

This appears to only have been in the ‘61 or ‘62 catalog from what I’ve seen for one year and on the pre-Deville- Deville.

That is a shame, but it fits it very nicley! And looks period appropriate too.

Thank you all for your help and learning with this. Seriously, HOW would I have found which bracelet and end links would fit if not for the OmegaForums!

Special thanks to @Lucasssssss, @seekingseaquest & @X350 XJR for your PMs.

So, after what must have been 10,000km+ in travel (8000 of which were seemingly unnecessary) and six weeks in postal service black sites, here is my ‘61 Seamaster 14765-2SC (18mm) happily paired with an unnumbered (but equivalent to a 1037) Omega 7 row BOR with 570 end links.

Shout out to @X350 XJR for being such a great seller, and entrusting this to me.

I have to say, this is my first bracelet, and it feels very adult to wear one.

It has been my experience that searching for the correct bracelet, getting it, and then fitting it, is immensely more gratifying than had you bought the combo together. Enjoy that post bracelet-attaching buzz!
