I don't believe a match for the above post 😲, that 2998!

Here is my matte dial Sea-dweller ref. 16660, with papers. Made in 1982, it was purchased by the original owner whilst in Switzerland for a watchmaking apprenticeship in 1985 from renowned retailer Beyer Chronometrie AG, in the heart of Zürich on Banhofstrasse.
There is even a momento hidden on the inside of the clasp from the original owner!

I love that watch... there are about half a dozen auction houses that would kill to have that in their next catalogue.

Hi @MSNWatch ,

No way! Was this watch even worn?

I'm pretty new to forum, and would love to learn more about this watch, so if it's been discussed before could you point me in the right direction.

This amazing watch needs it's own thread!

How did you come across such an outstanding package?

Now I know what Mr. Wally Schirra was looking at in the fall of 1962, patina adjusted. Thanks for sharing.

I still have the complete kit regarding my beloved Seiko 6309-7049 that I purchased new in 1987 at the NAS Whiting Field Navy Exchange during Navy pilot training...

Love it! Just dug out my own 6309-7049 that I bought new in '78 while in university. Or more like "avoiding university"...as I recall I sold an electric guitar to buy this watch when it jumped out at me from the jewellery store window. Still works like a champ, unfortunately box is gone but I paid the same $195 nine years before you.

Keep on tickin'
