Hey guys!
I've discovered a crazy old Omega at an antique market. I took the risk and bought it but I have no idea of what it is and how much it's worth. Would appreciate it if someone could help me out.
Thanks

Nice find! I'd bet 1920s or 30s from the style of the face. It looks to be in really nice shape

The outer case is an aftermarket piece which was a pretty common way for the working man to protect his watch while on the job. Companies which had to provide watches for the workers often used these cases to protect their investments, which would explain the little number stamped on the case. From the black colour on the watch itself it could be a silver case, well tarnished or a gun metal case with a lot of the finish worn off. You'll have to post pictures of the inside of the case as well as the movement. These old pieces aren't worth much, maybe $300 in good running order, but still make really good reliable timepieces once serviced.

Looking good, particularly that dial 馃憤
Nice pear shaped protector, most tend to be circular.
Don't forget us once you get it opened up and let us have a wee look.

Great find! 馃榾

I like it a lot and it very much reminds me of a desk clock that I have with a quite similar engine turned textured dial...I prefer to call it a pre-waffle 馃槣

They certainly look to be coming from the same 1920麓s design school anyway which seems to have been quite short lived as I don麓t recall seeing this effect into the 1930麓s.

Funny...while thumbing through the photos I had the same estimate pop into my head. Although, if we're correct with our guess, I think I'd rather have the watch than US$300.
