Dear Collective Intelligence,

Just found this as a rec in a german watch forum ( picture borrowed from here: https://www.uncleseiko.com/store/p2...t_for_the_Omega_Speedmaster_"Moon_Watch".html)

and am getting hooked by this 馃榾

My question is, i do recall that somewhere in the depth of OF someone has a similar one but more as Jubilee-style and with another clasp than the ugly piece that uncle seiko installed there but can't find it anymore.

Anyone an idea where to look for this deviation of the foresaid BoR?

Any input/links/hints will be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers,

Winny

I've seen that on Uncleseiko instagram and thought it looked pretty nice and a relatively cheap option. The Uncleseiko stuff is normally really good quality, I have a few of his bracelets on my Seikos.
The tabs on the back of the end links look a bit small and might cause some damage over time to the back of the lugs but maybe no worse that 633 or similar end links

Exactly what i'm thinking, the bracelet is really nice. Just dropped an email to uncle Seiko to see how they can vary clasp-wise.

And the tabs might be limitedly adjustable by using a tiny pliers or so 馃憤

Something like this? Bracelet ref. 1068. Now you have to find correct endlinks for your speedmaster as those (555 or 556) are 19mm wide.

Maybe they can use a Z199 style clasp instead which is a far more vintage Omega style than his BOR clasp

Hi Leon,

Thanks, that looks really great. But is an original Omega bracelet with that reference assumingly? How did you solve the issue with the endlinks here?

Hi Pascs,

Thanks for your suggestion, have already found the alternative "heritage" clasp at uncle seiko and alreqady ask them if this will fit the bracelet. Answer is still pending but will follow up here once received.

I鈥檝e done it a few times

The end links need some filing

Hi Bags,

Thanks for the ebay listing, I do prefer a 4 row over the 3 row BoR from uncleseiko. Will take a closer look on it. Liasting says that bracelet will fit Seamster and Connies but no word about the Speedy. Do you think it could also fit the Speedmaster with some filing pleasure?

Many thanks to you all!!

Best,

Winny

Yes, it's an Omega bracelet which used to fit Constellations (if I'm correct). As said above, what you have to do is to find 20mm endlinks that fit with this bracelet. I assume they do exist among the tons of different endlinks that have been manufactured for or by Omega. Maybe someone here knows the reference for such endlinks.

Understood Leon,

Where did you get your own endlinks from or were they already fitted when you bought your Speedy? And are your endlinks marked with a ref number?

My endlinks are marked 555. This is for 19mm. I bought them from a boutique.

For future reference, the period correct 19mm endlinks were #17, and I think came on the 1036 bracelet (5 row, but I cannot confirm this. If anyone has any original 17 endlinks, I would love to see). They are super rare.

I also have a pet theory that there may be an example of 517 endlinks, which would fit a BOR and be 19mm, similar to the 17 endlinks. However, I have no reason for thinking this appart from collating endlinks, and having a suspicious gap between 516 and 518.

The #555 endlinks also work (but fit a 1037, a 7 row), they are much more easy to find.
