Blue hands - let's see 'em

As well as watches with blue dials, I must be a sucker for watches with blue hands, as the first quality watch I ever bought was a Speedmaster Broad Arrow, which I'd seen in a photo and was immediately taken with the blue steel finish of the hands.

I recently picked up a Grand Seiko "Snowflake" and thought it had a few similarities to the Broad Arrow, most notably the blue of the sweep seconds hand. Here are some phone camera shots taken on the window sill...



One of the more obvious differences between the two is the weight, especially of the bracelet - the Broad Arrow clocks in at 162g but the Snowflake only 92g.
