On the hunt for one of these as my next watch for the collection.

I've quickly gotten over the "it's a poor man's Rolex". It just looks so beautiful!

Who's got one? Show it off!

I don’t own one, but just to say, in theory every watch other than a Rolex is a poor man’s Rolex. At least, that’s what Rolex wants you to think.

Are they still hard to find? I saw one in a shop in Bristol last week..... Cool watch still!

My next watch also. A few used ones for sale in the $3600-$3800 range. Thinking about going new at an AD for $4000.

I really dig this piece. Sadly, I already have a GMT. Or should I say, sadly, I can't afford to add this beauty next to my GMT. That would be watch gluttony ;)

I wear mine on a couple of different straps, rubber or single pass nylon.

Had the chance to join the club today. Two in the window at goldsmiths in West Quay Southampton UK.
One NATO and one on bracelet.
Had lunch walked back and the bracelet one was gone.
Funny as I’m supposed to be on the list for that exact model. Obviously never was on the list.
Anyway good to see hard to get models back in windows if only briefly. Hope it starts to happen with other brands

I was in Miami the last week of February and was surprised to see one in the AD’s display window! Granted, that was the first time I ever saw one in an AD. Yet, this was officially announced on March 21, 2018!

So, I pounced on the opportunity:

Last week, I was in New Orleans and an AD had one on a strap. So, it would appear they are finally showing up in ADs.

They are in many places now. I had one before and quite liked it. Was just a bit big and heavy for me. I love the 58 however. If they can shove a gmt movement into that there will be a waiting list for ages.

I was killing time during a business trip to Amsterdam and stopped in a large AD. While browsing I asked if they had a GMT in, even though it wasn't on display. They said they did, it had just come in and was in the safe; they'll go get it so I can try it on.

I just wanted to see it in person, I swear - I was concerned about the thickness, even though they look great in photos. Well, it was such a fantastic experience on the wrist, I ended up buying it the next day!

Moral of the story: Don't try one on unless you're ready to buy. It'll get under your skin fast :)

Here’s mine, got it from Burrell’s in Winchester last September after only three months wait. Were you visiting Southampton or live around here? I’m in Eastleigh. Seem to be quite a few members in the area!

I called 3 ADs (US) and none of them had a Black Bay GMT. I just purchased one from a trusted seller on the Rolex Forum. Should be here in a couple of days.
