OF Mods...hear me out, please?πŸ˜€

I know, yes I do know there are several other threads referring to this new watch from Omega, but after their awful tacky marketing campaign over selling ad nauseam the "Denim" aspect of the watch, I decided to create a thread where we discuss and post pictures of what I prefer to call the Blue Dial Railmaster...and only with the SS bracelet😁

Let us pretend that there is no Denim strap, no Canadian tuxedo etc.πŸ˜‰

Let us just focus on the watch.πŸ‘

Derek (aka minutemon) posted some gorgeous daylight photos of the blue dial railmaster
https://www.instagram.com/p/BnRBaPYntbs/?taken-by=theminutemon

I have to say that based on the photo below, this does look like a cool watch. I will need to check-it out and hopefully the OB will keep quite about the "Denim" reference!

Let's keep this thread denim free, and I look forward to posts from any OF members who might have seen this version of the watch in the wildπŸ˜€

This is silly. Who cares what descriptor they choose to call the dial appearance. Whether it’s called blue, or starry night, or blue matrix or some other blue themed descriptor....

It looks like a worn pair of indigo-dyed cotton pants. Perhaps it’s indigo warp and undyed weft. The dial appears as though the white weft is showing through as the the indigo crocks off the warp. Quite A neppy appearance.

Fun fact, indigo flakes or crocks off causing the undyed weft to shine through giving it a faded affect. Cottton is not an ideal carrier of indigo, or dyes for that matter, hence β€œfading”.

So the watch does give the appearance of a well worn pair of...well you know which garment I’m referring to OPπŸ˜‰

IMO, It’s a beautiful dial. The denim strap is a bit of overkill, but beautiful none the less.

I say all this in jest @Riviera Paradise 😜

Well I knew I was asking for this...I can now see I might have to face a deluge of denim / jeans photos being flung in my direction😁

I had no issue at first with the dial being called the "Denim". When I initially saw the dial I just thought it was an interesting textured blue dial, nothing more nothing less. During the "official" watch launch, the Omega marketing went overdrive with denim references that were tacky and old-fashioned.

I wish there was a MIB pen to wipe out the following:

1) Knowing that Cindy Crawford's son supposedly came up with the design idea for this Railmaster (I honestly think this is BS from Omega).
2) Trying not recall all the denim/jeans marketing photos Omega put out.

A nightmare scenario would be to enter my OB and see a picture of "Presley" wearing blue jeans and using this watch. ::facepalm1::

😑ARRRRGHHHHH!!!!!!!!😑

😁

Just turn and walk, nay run away!!!!πŸ˜‰

And the MIB pen would def fix some problems. The last MIB had a nice little NASA reference. I wonder if there were any Speedys in the movie.

Perhaps the recent Speedy Ultraman pen could be adapted to meet this "memory wipe" requirement?πŸ˜—

What’s all the fuss about? The unwanted denim can be removed easily, look here is a perfectly good solution already:-

::stirthepot:: Try un-seeing those.

Oh yeah, Longbow is evil alright.
See how well your sarcastic comment on "evil Longbows" goes down with the French😜😁

Actually I always thought of Brutus as more tragic than evil, but haven't read JC since I was 16, ignoramus that I am.πŸ™„

BTW...just I thought I would clear up the Brute reference: our dear OF member Longbow is only "tragic" in the sense that he writes bloody good watch reviews on the OF that should (but do not) receive hundreds of likes...squirrel images tragically have been known to be more popular on the OF 😁

Nothing goes better with denim than Latin, I always sayπŸ˜‰
Denim...hang on, would that be the third declension accusative singular for Denis ? Did he who was formerly-known-as-the-Squirrel pull a fast one on Omega for all the Speedy LE launches this year, and secretly influence Bienne to be indirectly referenced by Omega in Latin?

Genius, bloody genius!

But not as evil as Brutus’ jeans

...but they might cause eye cancer.
