BLUBARB is NOT a SCAMMER

I appreciate you as a denizen of the watch forum world Blubarb. Have seen your participation on several forums and you are obviously a true aficionado who enjoys his hobby. You pass the smell test. Rolex Forum does not pass. Only last week I perused TRF yet again with a view to becoming a member, and this even though I've read the horror stories of their indiscriminate and excessive use of the "ban hammer."

Then I read this:

"Just to make it absolutely clear,

THERE WILL BE NO GUN OR KNIFE POSTS ON TRF."

Their forum, their right, but no thank you. I appreciate the liberties afforded over here on OmegaForums and wouldn't appreciate being dictated to by some craven milksop moderator who is irrationally frightened of venerable hobby pursuits, irreverently claims his real name is God, and is a fundamental part of a forum culture that deliberately smears watch enthusiasts like Blubarb.

Seems like a new, more welcoming forum dedicated to Rolex knowledge-sharing and Rolex enthusiasts would be a howling success out in Forumland.

People seem to have serious reading comprehension problems over there, don't they?

Calmly ask for them to remove your personal information and review the ip addresses of the posts.

If they fail to remove your personal information you will be forced to notify their provider and start a legal take down process which might lead to service disruption or loss of ISP. I can provide the text of the letter to send to them. Doxing is illegal in the US and violates the TOS of the ISP.

In this case it is

Yes. Needs to be done. Brilliant, thank you.

The TRF forum owner needs to remember: You can’t throw a rock and hide your hand at the same time.

NEW
John has been instrumental in a number of my purchases. His depth of knowledge is second to none. I have purchased a number of speedmaster related items from him. John is a true gentleman. What happened at TRD is plain wrong. In fact I believe it to be so wrong that it made me post on this forum for the first time

That's rotten thing to do to a bloke with a good rep. I'm a member at TRF, but don't post much. I won't be going there again.
Greetings Blubarb from the Sunny Coast

Think there is enough members here to post on The Rolex Forum to make this right. Get to it guys.

My God. That is just about the worst behaviour I have ever seen by any forum moderator. And what I also find bizarre is that although it's made abundantly clear that Blubarb's account was hacked, there is an oddly callous absence of sympathy from several other posters, the honourable exceptions mostly being the Australians. Which actually gets another member to question whether they might even be all in it together! No guys it's something called fair play, a concept some of you are obviously not familiar with.

I don't know the Rolex forum, but on the basis of that post alone I feel justified in calling that "Steve" a total c***. I see he gives his location as "In Transit", which is the kind of thing you put if you're hiding something. Even if I were to get into Rolexes there's no way I'd ever join a forum where the mods do things like that. @blubarb I sincerely hope you get satisfaction and that the little prick is made to eat his words.

I find it truely frightening that a subscription forum would do this to a member. This is why I appreciate the fine job our moderators do on OF. My god there are many of us here who trade, buy and sell, meet socially and that would all go away if our personal data were to get posted for all to see. What a breach of trust!

UPDATE: Looks like something worked and the thread has now disappeared. I hope it stays that way. Thank you for all the International support and advice. There is way too many to list, but THANK YOU ALL (you know who you are) and happy watch collecting! Thanks to the admin on OF for letting this play out. 👍

And what did I get out of this, a pain in the backside and a new 4 channel CTV Thermal system and some great advice from foo2rama and the dozens of others who offered their guidance and experience.

I hope I am not counting chickens too early. 🙄

Thanks one and all.
