Back to the original, ahem, idea, there are two valuable pieces of advice: First, wait until another comes along, and second, find someone in Thee Olde Countree to help you out. I use my international connections frequently.

The provincial mindset is not specific to any area. It is as easy to ship anything within the EU as it would be within the USA, yet many sellers are still hesitant to ship outside their (European) countries to another country in Europe. International shipping has become significantly easier than a decade ago, so I think the mindset is changing, but slowly. Very slowly.

I'll ship anywhere if payment is made via wire transfer. Paypal leaves seller too exposed. I don't want to lose my watch and the payment because something stupid like a watch taking a long time to clear customs. I haven't done any buying or selling here but I have on other forums and I feel like I have the feedback/reputation to make the request.

Howdy (Doody),

One of the most amazing, most important parts of our forum is the league of International brotherhood that will facilitate honest gentlemen with the pursuit of this hobby!

I have brothers in Australia, England. Scotland, France, the Philippines, South Asia, you get the picture, all willing to lend a hand if needed or requested.
They ask nothing in return but camaraderie and perhaps a little Karma, or payback, if the situation would ever arise.

The only price of admission is sincerity and truth.

Remember that there is always another watch of the exact same model, sometimes in better condition, coming along soon.
.
Yeah, and by the time you run into it the price has already increased 30 to 50%

Well, I've experienced both. Buy a watch fearing the opportunity won't come along again soon, only to have a better, cheaper one pop up two days later. Or sit on the sidelines only to watch the market price more than double (thinking of the 105.003 I nearly bought in 2012).

...... and putting up with me busting balls every once in a while.
That's a tough but fair price.
