I purchased a 3570.50 Speedmaster a few weeks ago and noticed what appears to be rust or oil developing inside the hesalite at the 25-minute mark. See the below photos. I've added the original photo from the site where I purchased where upon close inspection you can see what appears to be a small ding. Can anyone explain what this is and offer advice on a fix? Thanks!

Mentally prepare yourselff for full service. Since this is a recent-ish piece, depending on where you are, Omega might be the best choice, especially if that's rust.

hard to tell from the photos, but get a piece of paper or business card and use the corner of it to run along the gap between the bezel and crystal to make sure it's not something stuck in there

Can you take photo that is actually focused on the spot?

Hard to tell. There is certainly space between the bezel and crystal so something could be in there, or it could be on the inside of the crystal.

Did you get any warranty on the watch from the seller?

I am thinking like Tom that it might be rust but that's us. Archer says it's hard to tell and he's seen more of these problems than all of us so best you get it examined by a similar pro.

I'm not liking those brown spots on the dial near the 9 position either....

Was the watch bought new or pre-owned? Looks like the oxidation is between the hesalite and case. You might need to take it to a watchmaker or Omega service center to get it inspected.

To me, it looks like a deposit of something that sat there for a while.
I would dab lightly one end of an ear bud into some polish and rub it gently on that area. Leave for a short while and then, with the other end of the bud, go over that area again. See what happens. No harm done in trying this imho.
