·Hallo everyone,
Aproximately one month ago, on my search for Rolex Exlorer 36mm, i stumbled across this wonderfull Blancpain Leman. I was so smitten by the watch that i quickly forgot my initial objective 😀
Like i already wrote here before, i was hoping the watch would have a modern Luminova dial, however this one is Tritum (probably most here prefer it that way). I found out that a replacement dial by Blancpain costs 240,- EUR plus 150 EUR processing fee; however i could not commit to jeopardizing originality by replacing the original dial. I am sure someone here would rather enjoy this piece the way it is.
Therefore i deceided to place this watch here for SALE or Trade for an Explorer (as a partial payment). Probably i will regret it!
Now about the watch:
Reference: 2100-1130M-71
The watch had it's last factory Service in 2010, this i found out directly from Blancpain. The service histroy after 2010 is unknown. I looked at the movement and it looks clean and unmolested (see photo). It keeps good time and power reserve seems to be up to its specification. However its already 2019 so probably new service would be advisable.
The watch case and AR coating on crystal indicate slight signs of wear, but nothing major, i would say for a ~25 year old watch the condition is very nice.
Tritium dial has some signs of patina developed, which is almost not noticable under normal conditions, and is not easy to capture on a photo. The lume is in perfect condition, no flaking, slightly creamy colour. Hands are new replacement hands with luminova.
The watch comes with an original Blancpain stainless steel bracelet x71 (no stretch). Apparently these are not so easy to find. As far as i understand all links are included (11 full links and 2 half links). Leather strap is not included.
Original outer and inner Box included, no Papers.
- Automatic movement, Frederic Piguet 1151 caliber with double spring barrel and 100 hours power reserve.
- 38mm case diameter, only 10mm thin, 20mm lugs.
- Water resistance: 100 meters.
- domed sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides (no chips).
Please take a look at photos for condition.
I tried to capture the dial patina around the lume markers and at the inner step of the dial:
Asking price: EUR 2300,- via bank wire or PayPal plus fees.
Face to face always welcome, in Upper Austria or Vienna, otherwise worldwide shipping at the cost of the buyer.
Returns accepted within 48 hours if badly misrepresented, shipping cost on buyer. However the watch need to be in exactly the same condition.
I will gladly answer your questions per PM, feel free to ask for details or photos with different angles, prior buying.
I might consider trading for a Rolex Explorer (114270 or 14270 with luminova), as a partial payment.
Thanks for looking!
