Took the Air Command out of the safe:

I'm amazed when looking at it in different lighting conditions:

Never realized the dial can give off this sunburst aspect:

So happy to have found an Aqualung. I was so tempted by the Air command. It is a beauty and one of my favorite designs.

Bumping this thread, with an image from Chrono24. Does anyone own this piece. What a superb watch. I’d swap all of mine for this.

Hi guys, I have movement, hands and this dial. Missing the case, have been looking for several years. Any thoughts?

These are rare watches so it may take some time, dedication (and $$$!) to find the other parts (assuming the ones in your possession correspond to the same reference). Try contacting Brian Dumais on MWRForum, he's based in the US and may have access to some vintage parts...

Cases do very occasionally crop up. I’ve been looking for about four years for one. In that time I’ve seen three from memory. Two sold for too much, and one I regret not bidding higher. I’d expect a nice early case to be €6-8k in an open auction.

70's BUND, built like a tank.

Beautiful... fixed bars I think? I saw one on eBay about a month or so ago, reasonably priced, but I dithered, and lost it 🙁

Do you have a link ? Haven’t seen a good example for quite a while.

Hopefully this will work - if not the item number is 392913751197 - was up for £6030, accepting offers, via Watchmaster from Germany. I had thought of offering £5.5k, but couldn't (still can't!) decide between vintage vs new and bathyscaphe vs FF...

Thanks the link works. I’d say that was pretty well priced and looks good too. Always nice to have a movement shot on these though to check the rotor is right, and as you say it should have thick pressed in bars so not sure how they got that tropic on unless it’s using springbars. Service crown as well but that’s common.

Thanks - though you aren't making me feel any better for the deal I missed 🙁

Former Speedmaster collector, I'm also a big fan of Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms, having the luck to find a Tribute to Aqua Lung some years ago. Really great watch. It's my third FF, hope to keep until the end.
