·It's likely to be a 2639, none of which were labelled Seamaster.
I would probably value the watch a bit higher than others here, but as everyone else a fair bit lower than $1,000.

2640 is sweep seconds (cal 28x), 2639 subsidiary (cal 26x). They're identical otherwise.
Interestingly enough, one of my pals in Australia asked for advice about his pal's 2640 a few years ago. There were three 2640s on eBay at the time; all were located in Australia. I wonder if the Australian agent put in an especially large order.
