Most of these are by serial number. 83 is a bit tough as it’s the height of the quartz crisis.

Seiko and Rolex should be easy to find an 83.

I still don't have a birth year watch (1973) but came very close two or three years ago when I agreed a deal with someone for a box, papers & bracelets (both correct ones for the watch!) Heuer Montreal sold four days before the day I was born. I was gutted when the seller went quiet.
My Son is a '73, let me know what's cool for him.

Perhaps this thread should be in the Open Discussion forum, as many brands are represented. I’ll stick to Rolex and Tudor for my birth year (1964). Only the silver dial 6424 is ‘64 (the gilt one is ‘65).

So I think I will also not find anythign outside Rolex and Omega from 1984 ? ( except Seiko )
