After a few years of observation, I've come to the conclusion we(and all Forums) are part of some psychology project at some Universities.

Especially when the OP disappears after 2-3 reply posts......they can't be part of the Study.

Easy.

1) Getting money out of the tight arses here who are smart enough to not buy over inflated dealer prices.

2) Lack of knowledge

3) Greed

What are the biggest struggles in the watch dealing business?

Better not to watch any dealing business, obviously. Struggles may find you… 😉

My biggest challenge is keeping all the money I’ve made off the books so I don’t have to pay the taxes.

I mean that’s what we really have the most problems with and talk about on the real watch forum that is invite only.

Really? Lots of people seem to have got this down to a fine art...

I find the hardest is admitting you are one.

I can message a dude with an Instagram profile saying #1 watch dealer in the LA area, linking to a website with a photograph of a bricks and mortar store in West Hollywood where the dude has iced out Rolexes lined up in display-cases, and a profile on the guy is on some Hypebeast website about how he built his customer list with him posing with a dozen watches on the steering wheel of his Urus.

But then the guy replies… “I’m not actually a watch dealer, just a collector, I only sell occasionally as a hobby, why should I have to use the dealer section.”
