Hi there

Do we know how rare these watches are?

Thanks

Con

@rogart an extract of my book, p121-122 regarding the 220 bezel:

“instead of the usual graduations marked 225 200 190 on the scale, these bezels are inscribed 225 220 190. It’s not a special version but a genuine mistake because the positions of the corresponding marker dots are the same as in other bezels. We have classified it as type B2bis, because it is an unintended and unique aberration of the type B2. The examples we have recorded were fitted only on the reference 145.022-69 with movement numbers between 30.589.xxx and 31.008.xxx, produced in the fall of 1970. It is possible that the B2bis. 220 variant was the first bezel without an accent on the E. We can assume that once the mistake had been discovered it was quickly put right (type B2). Any other scenario would be more difficult to explain”

I don't think it was a quality control issue. It was just put in to generated 220 then someone was like oh wait a moment.... and just fixed it.

Here is my 145.022-69 with both Meister Dial and 220 bezel. Meister is a Zurich high end store which, until the 1960's, sold Omega watches with their store name engraved (by Omega) on the dial.

Great looking watch.
I'm hoping the 220 Bezel makes our watches a little more collectable.

Mine was purchased 23/12/1972 in Portugal I think.
Thanks! The extract says March 12 1970 for mine, maybe the serials range in Moonwatch only book is too tight...

Mine is a 1969, I asked the watchmaker to check this when he serviced it. Possible it was sitting in a shop for a couple of years before being sold.

What is your serial as the inside of a caseback is not always accurate
