·I actually found this exact sentence in the DHL flow. I gave them a call, and she told me that from the Netherlands, there's a general maximum of 5000 EUR on watches. The 4k GBP is probably based on the exchange rate that was applicable a while ago ;-)
As other people mention in the thread - the policies differ per country. Maximum value if shipped from Spain is 1000 EUR.
