I asked, Is Swisswatchexpo legit? Yes or no. Simple enough? Geez.
well... a few notes. They are a dealer.... that has pros and cons. You tend to pay more, and listings may not be exactly correct as they are not experts on brands. Even well known dealers have accidentally put high quality fakes up for sale. So it’s hard to say yes or no unless it is on a specific watch. Going down vintage is even worse due to redials and Frankenstein watches that dealers are not aware of, let alone the polishing issue.

Perhaps the “typical forum crap” that exists everywhere points to a flaw in your view of forums, esp specialist forums. Many of us have inspected 1,000’s of watches and done hard core published research into Omega and other brands here. The lack of simple searching shows little respect for the hard won knowledge that abounds on specialist forums.

The problem is your not asking the right questions which shows you have done little to no research. We are more then willing to donate our time and knowledge. But asking nicely and not demanding info makes us much more likely to take time out of our day to help you.

I'm here 20 minutes and it starts. Typical forum bull. No matter what the forum, the same internet crap shows up.
Thanks for your insight. I'll find my watch.
So wherever you go you get typical forum crap? Hmm what is the common link there I wonder?

Because forums exist just so people can randomly drop in and ask a quick question, never to be seen or heard from again, and never with the intention on adding anything worthwhile to the community they are taking from...

I would set up a search on watchrecon and be patient. One sold here last month, just serviced full set for $300.00 less than your link.
I had not heard of watchrecon. Thanks!

And you know this for certain?
I logged on and asked for some advice. And got some. However the douche who just has to chime in, did you search? And the "really". Get real. I just wanted some insight on where to buy. Which could lead to being around a long time.
But it turned into typical keyboard cowboy crap.
Who needs that.

Funny, nothing like that happens to me when I join new forums and ask questions.... Perhaps young grasshopper you should look inward, you are too quick to judge and have been already shown the golden road to salvation but seem to not want to take it.

Take some deep breaths look at things from other peoples point of view and good luck out there.

Yes, they are legit, but they're a gray dealer. Most of the online gray dealers are legit, you just need to know that you will have limited availability to re-sell and loose or not get the factory guarantee. Instead you get their own service guarantee.

So, if you want new, buy new. If you want it on the up and up with all papers and guarantees pay the extra back at a dealership...if you don't mind buy gray (And yes swisswatchexpo is ok) if you want a used one here is the best place. There are some dealers here that may be able to get you a brand new one...you just need to integrate yourself with the community a little bit.

As for all the sensitivities...the sooner you leave that behind the better for all of us....or you can move on. There is a reason most forums wills search here or there and post a link...it's what forums are about. We are all collectors sharing a hobby, not a service center. Please understand that nobody ons being a dick to you (at least here). They're actually helping you find a less expensive option from a forum vetted seller.

Good luck with your purchase.

Geez, you guys are really patient and kind to someone calling attempts to help as "crap"… Absolutely the best forum I have ever joined.

As for Yellow Fever, setup watchrecon, ask questions, check Omega Forum and maybe Watchuseek, ask a lot of questions and examine every single details, know the watch thoroughly before purchasing, research price history, and take it slow.

@Yellow Fever if you’re based in the UK you can try Austin Kaye on Strand. I believe they deliver UK-wide and to Europe. Not sure what’ll happen post-Brexit though

I think I just found a way to increase my posts number - get really offended when someone says something I interpret as a "flame" while genuinely trying to help me. Asking, "did you search," is equivalent to asking "is it plugged in" - step one in establishing the baseline. And I will admit that over the last 30+ years, there have been instances where it wasn't plugged in!

I’m not sure that is the best idea.
You may get a (very expensive) certified pre- owned Omega but it won’t necessarily be an all- original certified pre-owned Omega.
